Withers reported that the former plant had been reporting figures of 12 Bio-chemical Oxygen Demand units and 15 suspended solids. An initial reading at the new plant showed 10 BOD and 23 suspended solids. “That’s to be expected with a new plant,” said Withers. Later readings showed solids dropping as low as 4.1. “I’m sure we’re in compliance already,” said Withers.

Work was just completed on the SCADA system which allows operators to look at various functions on a computer and program it to make any necessary adjustments.
