  • Hey, this guy is fast. Ben Flynn started at 7 a.m. Monday taking down this house just north of the Monroe Township Fire Station. It was down in just over a half hour. The demolition is the fourth of 11 in Knox County to come down under the Moving Ohio Forward program. Flynn is also part owner of Deercreek Excavating, Bellville, who has the contract to clear the abandoned houses. Today, a house at 20665 Hellwig Road, Utica, will be demolished. style=

  • The broken end of a concrete box culvert is being rebuilt on U.S. 36 west of Bangs at Fairview Road. An ODOT crew from District 5 at Jacksontown is doing the work of extending the end of the culvert with a headwall and wings. The work started Monday and is expected to be completed Thursday. One-way traffic is being maintained with stop lights for control. style=
