MOUNT VERNON — Beta Sigma Phi held its 82nd anniversary Founder’s Day dinner and awards Thursday night at The Alcove restaurant. Made up of members from 10 service sororities in the community, the evening is an opportunity to acknowledge members with significant years of service and recognize the “Sister of the Year” in each chapter.
During the program, the women pledged to uphold the honor and aims of the sisterhood and to further understanding of things good and beautiful. At one time there were 250,000 members worldwide in Beta Sigma Phi. The new worldwide theme this year is “Beta Sigma Phi: Light of Your Life.”
