MOUNT VERNON — Records management, reporting of human resources discipline and building security were the topics discussed Thursday morning when the Knox County elected officials met for their monthly meeting at the Knox County Service Center.
Current financial figures for the county were shared by county auditor Jonette Curry. The general fund currently shows an unexpended balance of $3,587,312.94. Outstanding encumbrances of $655,951.82 leave an unencumbered balance of $2,931,361.12. “Through April of last year, we had an unexpended balance of $3,153,555.48 and an unencumbered balance of $2,672,593.42. So we’re a pinch above where we were last year,” said Curry.
She also reported that the self-insurance fund currently shows an unexpended balance of $191,837.75, not including May transfers.
