Current financial figures for the county were shared by county auditor Jonette Curry. The general fund currently shows an unexpended balance of $3,587,312.94. Outstanding encumbrances of $655,951.82 leave an unencumbered balance of $2,931,361.12. “Through April of last year, we had an unexpended balance of $3,153,555.48 and an unencumbered balance of $2,672,593.42. So we’re a pinch above where we were last year,” said Curry.

She also reported that the self-insurance fund currently shows an unexpended balance of $191,837.75, not including May transfers.
