BLADENSBURG -- Classes were canceled at East Knox Elementary School this morning after parents were alerted there was an unidentified male in the building.
MONROE TOWNSHIP -- Residents of the O'Brien Road area gathered at the Monroe Township trustees'meeting Monday evening to find out what can be done about what seems to be squatters living on a property there, trashing it and even burning what appears to be shingles and other construction or demolition debris.
GAMBIER -- Gambier mayor Kirk Emmert provided a brief update at Gambier Village Council meeting Monday for the ongoing plans for College-Monroe Township Fire Department to merge with the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
CENTERBURG -- Centerburg is the latest Knox County entity to formally oppose Ohio House Bill 5, which seeks to initiate statewide uniformity in administration of municipal income taxes.
GAMBIER -- Monday evening Gambier Village Council heard about budget cuts for Head Start as well as an initial proposal on energy aggregation.
MOUNT VERNON -- The Knox County Commissioners spent almost an hour Monday learning a little bit about the ins and outs of public bond financing.
DANVILLE -- Danville Village Council members received some help Monday as they discuss possible changes in the village water rates.
MOUNT VERNON -- The judges had a difficult time this year judging hundreds of amazing entries in the 2013 Japanese-inspired art and poetry contest, but completed their task and selected the top three winners in each category.
DANVILLE -- The Danville baseball team had Fredericktown on the ropes Monday.
