MONROE TOWNSHIP — Residents of the O’Brien Road area gathered at the Monroe Township trustees’ meeting Monday evening to find out what can be done about what seems to be squatters living on a property there, trashing it and even burning what appears to be shingles and other construction or demolition debris.

Trustee William Pursel said there is a limit as to what the township can do, they are trying to make as many people and agencies as possible aware of the issue, including the county prosecutor, the Sheriff’s Office, the Health Department, Children’s Services and the city schools.
