MOUNT VERNON — The torch has once again been passed throughout the family, and business will continue to thrive at Ross Premier Motors. Third-generation family member Zach Ross recently assumed control of the family automobile sales business, taking over for his father, Ron Ross. This comes at a time when the business is marking its 40th anniversary of service to the Mount Vernon area.
Gene Ross built his family business in May 1973 as D&R Auto Sales on South Main Street in Mount Vernon and had aspirations of his business growing and continuing for many years with his family. After Ross moved to the current location at 219 Harcourt Road, his son, Ron, took over in 1991 and was operating the business until recently when he turned the reins over to his son, Zach.
