MOUNT VERNON — A crash involving three vehicles happened on Wooster Road at the intersection of McKenzie Road and Vernonview Drive (Ohio 768) Tuesday at 3:26 p.m. The Ohio State Highway patrol said Annamarie Lewis, 24, Fredericktown, was driving south on Wooster Road and made a left turn into the path of a northbound car driven by Jordan Johnson, 18, Mount Vernon.
The Johnson car spun off the road into the ditch. The Lewis car was knocked into a pickup truck stopped on Vernonview Drive driven by Matthew Cherup, 53, Mount Vernon. Lewis was charged with failure to yield on a left turn.
The College-Monroe Township squads took Lewis; Johnson and his passenger, Hunter Starr, 16; Cherup and his passenger Brandon Dobb, 19, Mount Vernon to Knox Community Hospital with apparent minor injuries, according to the patrol.
