MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Commissioners opened bids Thursday with Knox County Engineer Jim Henry for three replacement bridges. The commissioners received bids from as many as four contractors for each bridge.

The three bridges will be replaced in either 2013 or 2014. Township Road 324, Bear Run Road, is scheduled for completion in November and the engineer’s estimated cost was $254.481.80. Township Road 169, Billman Road, is set for completion in May 2014. The engineer’s estimate was $254,481.80. And Township Road 365, Liberty Chapel Road, is also due for completion in May 2014 for an estimated $321,564.74.
