MOUNT VERNON — Commencement exercises for the Knox County Christian Home School Association Class of 2013 were held on Saturday at Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene.
“Don’t float aimlessly through life,” graduation speaker Sarah Fowler urged. “Have a godly vision for the future. Take what you have learned from your parents and build upon it.”
Fowler, member of the State of Ohio Board of Education, talked about the advantages of growing up in a Christian family and encouraged the seniors to pass those values on to their own future children and grandchildren.
She suggested to the graduates that they take 2 Timothy 3:13-15 to heart as they go forth into the world, to stand firm in what they have learned and believed, to strive to live a godly life.
