The eight-count indictment against Joshua Baldridge, 18, also includes charges of felonious assault on a police officer and aggravated vehicular assault regarding the injuries sustained by Chad Lishness of Danville PD. Lishness was in Millwood placing stop sticks across U.S. 36 in an attempt to stop Baldridge. According to law enforcement, Baldridge swerved to miss the stop stick, striking Lishness who was taken by AirEvac to Ohio State University Medical Center.

However, Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said Baldridge swerved a second time “in an apparent attempt to strike the Danville police officer with his vehicle.”
