DANVILLE — Danville High School seniors were honored in an award and scholarship program held Wednesday in the high school gym. Family, friends, fellow students and school staff gathered to applaud the accomplishments of the Class of 2013, which has received more than $180,000 in scholarship money.

“This is a good, hard working group of kids who I believe will be very successful,” Principal Ed Honabarger told the News.

At the top of the class, in descending order from first place, were Whitney Hawk, valedictorian, Brendan Urban, salutatorian, Christian Severns, Jamarcus Hershberger and Megan Bice.
