Dailey was presented the award by Fire Chief Chris Menapace to recognize Dailey’s exemplary police work while investigating the arson at 209 Shirley Avenue in February.

“Detective Dailey logged numerous hours in his rigorous efforts to piece together the events that led to the death of [Brad Grosscup],” Menapace said. “Detective Dailey’s efforts were undaunting and his investigative techniques were superb. His diligence led to the apprehension, confession and subsequent charging of two individuals for the crimes that occurred surrounding the incidents. Detective Dailey did much more than supplement the arson investigation. Detective Daily negotiated many hurdles in his pursuit of identifying and apprehending the perpetrators of the crimes committed. This arson case has had a positive outcome largely based on the pristine police work performed by Detective Dailey.”
