MOUNT VERNON — It was an evening of celebration Friday as family and friends gathered at the Knox County Career Center for the graduation exercises for the adult Medical Assisting and Medical Insurance Billing programs.
Adult education director Jane Marlow welcomed the guests and told the soon-to-be graduates that their nine months of dedication and hard work has paid off. “Good job and congratulations,” she said.
The graduation address was given by Dorothy “Mimi” Roush, medical technician, author and mentor and supporter of the medical programs.
“Commencement is a beginning and tonight is the beginning of a different phase in life’s journey for these graduates,” said Roush. “Each one of them is so special.”
