MOUNT VERNON — Nearly 24 years of hard work and dedication were honored in a special ceremony Tuesday afternoon at the Knox County Farm Service Agency office. Program Technician Greg Cook received national honors when he was announced as the recipient of the National Distinguished Service To Agriculture Award, sponsored by the National Association of FSA County Office Employees.
A 24-year employee of the Knox County FSA Office, Cook was one of more than 6,000 eligible recipients for the award. He had previously won the Ohio award, the multi-state Area Award and was later named the recipient of the national award. Tuesday’s ceremony was to officially present him with the Ohio award.
