MOUNT VERNON — If draft contracts between the city of Mount Vernon and College and Monroe townships come to fruition, township residents will get quicker response times for fire and EMS services at no additional costs.

Mount Vernon Fire Chief Chris Menapace presented his draft plan to integrate the two townships, along with the Village of Gambier and Kenyon College, into the coverage area of the MVFD, during a special meeting of City Council Monday night.
