MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Head Start is offering Child Abuse and Neglect Recognition training for early childhood education professionals and in-home child care providers. The initial course will be two nights, while the refresher course will be the first night only.
The first training session will be Tuesday, Jan. 11. Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 18, will be the second part for those needing the initial six-hour training. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m. and are being held at the New Hope Early Education Center, 11700 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon.
To register for this free training, call Dotti Riggs at Knox County Head Start at 393-5709. The training will meet Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Department of Job & Family Services licensing requirements and is being offered for free.
