FREDERICKTOWN — Parent Talk, a class that focuses on issues all parents face in teaching kids discipline, responsibility and confidence, will be offered on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The class will be held in Room 116 of the former Fredericktown High School, 117 Columbus Road. More information can be found at the group’s website: www.touchpointe.org or by calling 740-485-5408 to register.

A variety of resources will be used including Dr. Kevin Leman’s “Value Packed Parenting,” Dr. James Dobson’s “Your Child — Essential’s of Discipline,” and John Townsend’s “Boundaries with Kids.” Ample time will be given each class session for discussion of what works, what doesn’t and what’s appropriate for the developmental stage of the child. Classes are open to the public and a fee will be charged for the cost of materials.
