MOUNT VERNON — “The Great American SmokeOut” is the topic of the Brown Bag Chat on Wednesday at noon at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry St.
Those who have been thinking about quitting smoking but are not sure they are ready to take the plunge, are invited to try the Great American SmokeOut. Mary Samuel of the Freedom Center will tell participants what this is all about.
Samuel will discuss smoking and give tips on how to quit and make that decision a lasting one. There will also be information on the health benefits and financial savings of quitting. Questions are welcome.
The Brown Bag Chats, sponsored by the Adult Services Department of the public library, are free and open to the public. Participants can bring a bag lunch; beverages will be provided.
