MOUNT VERNON — Matt Maley, owner and operator of Fitness for a Change, will be the featured speaker at the Knox County Democratic Women’s meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
The meeting will be held in the conference room at the Knox County Health Department. The Health Department is on the northeast corner of U.S. 36 (Coshocton Road) and Upper Gilchrist Road. There will be a brief business meeting beginning at 7 p.m., followed by the program at 7:30 p.m.
Maley is an exercise physiologist, certified personal trainer, wellness coach, and movement specialist. A graduate of the University of Louisville, where he had an NCAA scholarship in swimming, he began his training career as an in-home personal trainer, and a corporate trainer. He is qualified to work with all individuals including, post-physical therapy individuals, athletes, senior citizens and pregnant women.
Maley will discuss the importance of nutrition and exercise and the specific steps individuals can take to incorporate these factors into our lives. The public is welcome to attend this meeting and learn how they can be healthier and happier in 2011.
