MOUNT VERNON — Soroptimist International of Mount Vernon/Knox County is sponsoring its 2011 annual Fashion Show on Saturday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m. at The Dan Emmett Conference Center in Mount Vernon.
“Monies raised from this event are given to several local organizations in Knox County that direct their efforts toward helping women,” said Karen Rohler, president of Soroptimist. “One of those organizations is New Directions, a domestic abuse shelter for women in need.”
In addition to the fashion show and luncheon, there will be exhibits, door prizes, and an exclusive silent auction. Featured retail businesses are: CATO of Mansfield, Nicole Jordan’s Children’s Clothing Boutique, The Weather Vane, Down Home Leather, Silpada, Peebles, Fashion Bug, C J Banks of Mansfield and Christopher & Banks of Mansfield.
The theme for this year’s show is “Step into Spring.” Tickets are by reservation only and may be purchased in Mount Vernon at Flowers For You, 22 E. Gambier St.; Nicole Jordan’s Children’s Clothing Boutique, 506 N. Main St.; The Pink Cupcake, 109 S. Main St.; or in Gambier at The Weather Vane. Tickets may also be purchased from any Soroptimist member.
The mistress of ceremonies will be Lori Beach.
