MOUNT VERNON — A recital, given in honor of Lois Brehm, will take place Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 100 E. High St., Mount Vernon.
Brehm has taught and mentored many students and has also been a friend and colleague to many musicians. A pianist, organist and harpsichordist, she has inspired many to aspire to higher levels of musical achievement and has served as accompanist to many professionals as well as students.
Among those performing in the recital are Benjamin Locke, Jennifer Marcellana, John Reitz, Patricia Pelfry, Patricia Eaton, Dave Eaton, Mike Eaton, Lucas Weiss, Glee Smith, Christa Hammond, Sharon Blaydes, Knox Choraliers, St. Paul’s Choir, Diane Dingler; and students of teachers influenced or taught by Brehm: Joanna Tomassoni, Madison Hexter, Kathryn Hebenthal, Jordan Shremshock and Sarah Bertschy.
The public is welcome to attend this event, which is free of charge. A reception will follow in St. Paul’s Parish House.
