CENTERBURG — “The Curious Savage,” a comedy in three acts, blurs the line between reason and insanity. When Mrs. Savage is widowed with $10 million, she decides to use it to help others and to explore the world for herself. Her stepchildren, offended by her actions and hoping to steal the money for themselves, commit her to a sanitarium. There, Mrs. Savage discovers her fellow patients are an eclectic mix of caring, generous people, starkly contrasting her stepchildren. Through its progression, “The Curious Savage” explores the true meaning of family with shining examples of insanity.
The Savage family is made up of Abby Altizer, Brady Mathias, Melody Maxwell and Bryce Trumble. Other cast members are Lindsey Heldenbrand, Amanda Karr, Austin Nininger, Logan Rennie, Evan Schorr, Eleni Teegarden and Becca Trumble.
“The Curious Savage” will be performed in the high school auditorium on April 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m., and April 17 at 2 p.m.
