MOUNT VERNON — The Future Nurses Club at Knox Community Hospital presents its yearly Teen Talk Lecture on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness, 1375 Yauger Road. The topic is “Adolescent Self Defense and Awareness” and the event is open to all area teens and parents.
Presenters from the Knox County Sheriff’s office will demonstrate self-defense techniques and share information on signs and cues that a situation may turn dangerous. A hands-on activity, teens can learn maneuvers and practice self-defense techniques during the event.
This evening offers an opportunity for teens to learn about this issue in a relaxed atmosphere. If a teen is interested in attending, encourage them to join on April 12. Parents who would like more information may call Sandy Beidelschies, chief nursing officer, at 393-9606.
