MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Granges Farm-City Covered-dish Dinner will be Monday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Mount Vernon High School cafeteria.
The flags will be presented by Boy Scout Troop 330 from Mount Vernon. Invocation will be given by State Chaplain Les Widder. Entertainment will be the gospel quartet Bound for Glory.
This year the community service award will be presented to a granger. Each grange is to provide two hot meat dishes. Everyone is to bring covered-dishes to share and their own dinnerware. Rolls and beverages will be provided.
Raffle tickets for a night at a cabin in Indian Bear Lodge near Bladensburg, and two-gift certificates are available from grange members.
There will be door prizes. The public is welcome.
