MOUNT VERNON — The 40th Annual Dixie Classic Car and Truck Show will be Sunday at the Knox County Fairgrounds. The gates will open at 8 a.m. with registration of vehicles from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trophies, car plaques and door prizes will be presented. This event will be held rain or shine.
There is a charge for registration of cars and trucks. There is a nominal gate fee for all other vehicles. Tractors and motorcycles are welcome, but they will not be judged. Crafters and flea market spaces are also available. For more information e-mail dixiecarshow@embarqspace.com
Glenwood Chapter will provide food concessions and will have homemade pies, hot sandwiches and coney dogs, as well as beverages and doughnuts for the early risers.
This event is sponsored by Ohio Lodge 199 and Glenwood Chapter 303 of Bladensburg, which annually supports the Special Olympics, several scholarship funds, volunteer fire departments, food banks, the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and the Red Cross, to name a few.
