MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University Wind Ensemble will present “A Day at the Circus” on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Gazebo located in the MVNU Grove.
Community members are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy this free circus-themed music concert. MVNU Chaplain Scott Peterson will serve as the “ringmaster” with the Wind Ensemble performing a variety of circus music including selections from “Cirque du Soleil.” The concert will also feature selections by the MVNU Jazz Band, directed by Rick Brunetto, and the Flute Choir, directed by Jennifer Packard.
Pre-concert activities beginning at 6:30 p.m. include clowns, balloons, popcorn, cotton candy and more. The concert will be moved to the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium in case of inclement weather.
