MOUNT VERNON — Knox Community Hospital offers enhanced surgical services with the addition of a new Endoscopy Suite. Endoscopy is a type of medical examination that uses an illuminated, flexible, fiberoptic camera allowing surgeons to view the interior of organs and cavities of the body. Endoscopy can help diagnose a health problem and, in some cases, enable the patient to avoid surgery.
The community is invited to an open house to tour the Endoscopy Suite and the recently renovated Heartburn Treatment Center on Thursday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Staff will be available for questions and refreshments will be served. The Endoscopy Suite is on the first floor of the hospital, adjacent to Central Registration.
