MOUNT VERNON — Back for a second year, Bring Your Own Boat, celebrates kayaking and canoeing on one of the cleanest rivers in Ohio. Bring your own kayak, canoe or garbage scow and float down the Kokosing River with other paddlesport enthusiasts.
Participants will meet at the Kokosing Gap Canoe Access on Lower Gambier Road at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25. Shuttles will provide paddlers transportation back to their vehicles. Learn about boating safety and Kokosing River ecology from experts, while enjoying the great outdoors.
This event, which will conclude at approximately 3 p.m., is co-sponsored with the ODNR Division of Watercraft, Scenic Rivers Program and the Knox County Park District.
