MOUNT VERNON -- A comedy fundraiser for Cancer Connections will be held at Parkside Restaurant & Tavern on Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Jeff Robinson and Kathie Dice will be performing during the show, which includes a dinner, comedy show and live auction.
Robinson has performed at comedy clubs throughout the Midwest, including The Improv and The Funnybone, and has shared the stage with comics such as Brian Regan and Bobcat Goldthwait. Robinson is the creator of Comics for a Cure, an annual stand-up comedy benefit show in Delaware for the American Cancer Society.
Dice’s resume includes stand-up, commercials, one-woman shows, National Lampoon Radio and movies. She has been a featured stand-up comic in The Bud Light Ladies of Laughter, the Detroit International Comedy Festival, Gilda’s Club Comedy Festival and has won many comedy competitions. Her comedy comes from her life and family, as well as her experience as a hairdresser.
The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m., and will include a 50/50 raffle, dinner, comedy show and a live auction. Tickets may be reserved by calling Parkside Restaurant at (740) 397-9031.
