MOUNT VERNON — United Way of Knox County is accepting applications from 501(c)(3) agencies for 2013 investments in programs that measurably address community needs.
Prospective member agencies are eligible to apply for funds if they have been in existence for at least one year and provide programs that serve Knox County residents. No strictly religious organization serving a limited group of people is eligible to be a partner agency.
United Way has established three priority areas for 2013 investment consideration: Promoting Early Learning and Intervention, Promoting Financial Stability, and Improving People’s Health. Additional information outlining these three priority areas is contained in the investment application.
Any group or organization interested in applying for program funding may pick-up an investment application packet at the United Way office, located at 110 East High Street in Mount Vernon. United Way’s application and pertinent information can be found at www.uwayknox.org. Completed applications must be submitted to United Way by 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012.
