MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Republican Party will hold its 2012 Lincoln day Dinner, Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Dan Emmett Conference Center, 150 Howard St., Mount Vernon.
There will be a social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. with a cash bar, and dinner at 7 p.m. The keynote speaker will be congressman Bob Gibbs.
The agenda will include introduction of elected officials, introduction of March 6 primary election candidates, a legislative update and announcement of the 2012 “Republican of the Year.” State Sen. Kris Jordan and State Rep. Margaret Ann Ruhl will be present.
There will be door prizes, a silent auction of four Ben Richards unframed prints entitled: “Liberty and Honor,” “Letters from Home,” “Mother’s Pride” and “Shore Leave,” donated by Jeff Kraushaar of Marblehead. There will be a live auction of a Jon McNaughton framed print entitled “The Forgotten Man,” donated by Larry and Nancy Vail of Mount Vernon.
