MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Prosecutor’s Office and Seniors and Law Enforcement Together are joining Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and other government and non-profit organizations to celebrate the 14th annual National Consumer Protection Week, March 4 to 10. During NCPW, groups nationwide share tips and information that help consumers protect their privacy, manage money and debt, avoid identity theft, and avoid frauds and scams.
This year, The Knox County Prosecutor’s Office and SALT will focus on helping senior consumers make informed financial decisions. The event will be held at the Memorial Theater on March 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. Panelists will be able available to answer any questions from several agencies including: Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Federal Trade Commission, Ohio Consumers’ Counsel, Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio Department of Commerce, and Knox County Law Enforcement.
