MOUNT VERNON — The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County will host a free movie night Wednesday at the main library, 201 N. Mulberry St.
The evening will begin with a special preview of the documentary, “Soundtrack for A Revolution: Every Generation Finds Its Voice” featuring the moving sights and songs of the civil rights movement at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. will be the Academy Award-nominated feature, “The Help,” rated PG-13.
This will be the first movie of the year in the newly renovated library featuring a new surround sound stereo system donated by the Friends of the Library and using the library’s public viewing license.
