MOUNT VERNON — The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County will host a free movie night Wednesday at the main library, 201 N. Mulberry St.

The evening will begin with a special preview of the documentary, “Soundtrack for A Revolution: Every Generation Finds Its Voice” featuring the moving sights and songs of the civil rights movement at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. will be the Academy Award-nominated feature, “The Help,” rated PG-13.

This will be the first movie of the year in the newly renovated library featuring a new surround sound stereo system donated by the Friends of the Library and using the library’s public viewing license. The program is free and open to the public. Popcorn and beverages will be served. For additional information, call 392-BOOK.
