TIVERTON — The public is invited to attend the 110th annual Tiverton Community Institute being held Wednesday and Thursday, March 7-8, at the Tiverton Community Hall, at the intersection of Ohio 206 and County Road 20 in Coshocton County.

The Institute will begin daily at 10 a.m. with donuts and coffee, and a covered-dish dinner is offered each day at noon.

The program for Wednesday, March 7, includes a morning program at 10:30 a.m. with Guest Speaker Dan Markley, an afternoon program at 1 p.m with Guest Speakers Chuck Wiseman and Phyllis Debnar, and an evening program at 7 p.m. featuring “Youth Night,” with the River View Choir, Dawn Anglin, director.

The program for Thursday, March 8, includes a morning program at 10:30 a.m. with Guest Speakers Don Croskey and Dave Snyder, an afternoon program at 1 p.m. with Guest Speaker Ken Smailes, and an evening program at 7 p.m. featuring music by Nothin’ Flat, and a community play, “Man Under Her Bed.” Thursday will also feature a Soup Supper, for a charge, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with homemade pies, cakes and salads.

There will also be baking and woodworking contests, held Wednesday morning; a dutch apple pie contest (from scratch) for ages 17 and up, an oatmeal cookie contest (from scratch) for ages 16 and younger, and an “any woodcraft item” contest, for boys age 16 and younger. There will be a youth poster contest, “110 Years of Country Living,” and there will be door prizes at every session. For more information, contact tiverton_institute@windstream.net.
