MOUNT VERNON Imagine seeing not one but two country legends on the same night and the cost is by donation? Patsy Cline, portrayed by Allison Miller and Conway Twitty, portrayed by Dayne Baughman, will be at ThePlace@TheWoodward, 111 S. Main Street, on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Both Miller and Baughman are veterans of the Mount Vernon Players and will be making their singing debuts in character.

Baughman made his first appearance on the Chautauqua stage last season, bringing John Belushi to life, while Miller will be making her Chautauqua stage debut.

Supporting each of the programs will be band members Bill Miller on lap steel and guitar, Desmond Wall on guitar and Mike Petee on bass.

Conway Twitty, born Harold Lloyd Jenkins, was an American country music artist. He also had success in early rock and roll, R&B, and pop music. He held the record for the most number one singles of any act with 40 No. 1 Billboard country hits until George Strait broke the record in 2006.

Patsy Cline, born Virginia Patterson Hensley, was an American country music singer who was successful in pop music crossovers during the early 1960s era of the Nashville Sound.

Prior to her death at the age of 30 in a private plane crash, she was at the height of her career. Cline was best known for her rich tone, emotionally expressive and bold contralto voice, and her role as a pioneer in the country music industry. She helped pave the way for headlining women in country music.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is on a donation basis.
