MOUNT VERNON — Missionaries Jay and Carey Rostorfer will be the special guests this coming Palm Sunday during the 10 a.m. morning worship service at Trinity Assembly of God Worship Center. The Rostorfers and their four daughters are veteran missionaries with the Assemblies of God and are involved in church planting and evangelism in Madagascar and East Africa, as well as teaching and training church leaders for full-time ministry. Also during the morning service the Children’s Ministry ARC Team will be presenting a drama under the direction of Children’s Pastor Denise Thrift.
“The Rostorfers’ story is an inspirational one as Carey’s call to the mission field came through her own experiences, as she was rescued as an orphan out of war-torn Vietnam in 1975 by a missionary who also saved 22 other children,” Trinity’s Pastor Don Matolyak said. “I’ve known this family for years as they served in a former pastorate as our youth pastors. We extend them a warm invitation to the public to join us not only for Palm Sunday’s service but also to consider us if you are looking for a church home.”
The church is located in Mount Vernon at 1051 Beech St. For more information or directions to the church, go to www.mvtrinity.com or the church’s page on Facebook at Trinity Assembly of God Worship Center. The office may be reached at 740-392-3661, Tuesday through Friday.
