MOUNT VERNON — Joyce Healy-Abrams, Democratic candidate running against Congressman Robert Gibbs for Ohio’s 7th Congressional District, will be a special guest at the Knox County Democratic Women’s annual reorganization meeting. The meeting will be held Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. at Emeritus at HillenVale, 1615 Yauger Road in Mount Vernon.
Healy-Abrams is a successful small businesswoman and entrepreneur with a record of job creation in Ohio. While job creation is her No. 1 priority along with protecting workers’ rights, she is equally concerned about the rights of women and senior citizens. Healy-Abrams’ candidacy has the strong support of labor and the Women’s Campaign Fund. She was recently added as an EMILY\'S LIST “On the List” candidate. The general public is both welcome and encouraged to attend this opportunity to hear Healy-Abrams. For further information visit www.knoxdwc.org.
