MOUNT VERNON — Soroptimist International of Mount Vernon/Knox County is sponsoring the 2012 annual Fashion Show on Saturday, April 14, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dan Emmett Conference Center.
“Monies raised from this event are given to several local organizations in Knox County that direct their efforts toward helping women,” said Sally Wright, president of Soroptimist. “One of those organizations is New Directions, a domestic abuse shelter for women in need.”
In addition to the fashion show and luncheon, there will be exhibits, door prizes and an exclusive silent auction. Featured retail businesses are: CATO of Newark, The Weather Vane, Down Home Leather, Silpada, Peebles, Fashion Bug, C J Banks of Newark and Christopher & Banks of Newark.
The theme for this year’s show is: “Step into Spring.” Tickets are by reservation only, and there is a charge. Tickets may be purchased in Mount Vernon at Flowers For You at 22 E. Gambier St., The Pink Cupcake at 109 S. Main St., or in Gambier at The Weather Vane. Tickets may also be purchased from any Soroptimist member.
The mistress of ceremonies will be Lee Thomas.
