MOUNT VERNON — Beginning Thursday, the First Presbyterian Church will again be offering GriefShare sessions. The sessions will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church at 106 N. Gay St., Mount Vernon.
GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one.
Each GriefShare session includes a video featuring top experts on grief recovery and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses “just like yours.” The sessions will be followed with group discussion The GriefShare workbook assists with note taking, journaling and grief study.
GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery. The public is encouraged to attend the next set of GriefShare sessions. This is a 13-week program on Thursdays through July 5. To register, call the church office a 393-1326, or for more information call Anne at 393-5130.
