MOUNT VERNON — The Master Clothing Educators of Knox County are offering a free open sewing clinic April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the 4-H Center, 401 W. High St. in Mount Vernon. Anyone in the community is welcome to come and learn to sew, or get some help with sewing or a sewing machine or serger.
Anyone with a portable sewing machine may bring it and the instructors will help with getting started with a project. There will be fabrics and machines to be used by those who have neither. Kids may bring 4-H projects and can get help with their projects. For questions, contact Vicki Bechtel at 694-1363, Judy Foster at 694-1228 or Lily Haws at 397-5397.
