MOUNT VERNON — Chapel Hill Golf Course will host a “Golf Extravaganza”, featuring a number of golf-related events, on Wednesday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial, the American Red Cross and Knox County Food Bank. Events include a Big Hole Bonanza, which includes lunch, and play to a nine-inch hole on every green; a putting contest for a free pizza; free demo day, featuring Callaway, Titleist, Nike and Mizuno equipment, plus Golf Etc. with Flight Scope; a dunk tank; a golf-ball drop, with the closest to the pin winning $2,000; and a food drive, with each can donated earning a raffle ticket for a trip to Hawaii.
