DANVILLE — The Danville American Legion Auxiliary, Joseph Colopy Jr., Unit 650, will celebrate National Poppy Day on Saturday in the village of Danville. Donations may be made to various collection points around the community from 9 to 11 a.m.
The Poppy Program is the oldest and most widely recognized national auxiliary program. The Poppy reminds the community of past sacrifices and continuing needs of our veterans and is the symbol worn and used by the auxiliary members to honor the men and women who served and died for their country in all wars.
Contributions to this program can be made at any time to any member of the Danville American Legion Auxiliary and benefits local communities.
