MOUNT VERNON — The Academy Award-nominated film, “War Horse,” rated PG-13, will be featured during free movie night Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, the critically acclaimed film tells the heartwarming story of the love between Albert and his horse, Joey, in England during World War I. When his beloved horse is sold to the cavalry, Albert enlists hoping to find his friend. The stories of war, bravery, loss, humanity, friendship and duty are told from both the human and animal perspectives in this moving film.
