MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Schnormeier Gallery will exhibit works by Franklin Miller and Judy Miller through June 27, and by Ted Schnormeier through Friday. A reception for all three artists will take place Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Schnormeier Gallery.
The Millers and Schnormeier, from Gambier, will be displaying a wide variety of artwork during this exhibit. For the majority of his art career, Franklin Miller was a filmmaker and also taught filmmaking at the University of Iowa. Miller’s art now includes sculptures and shellac-covered wood, which will be on display. His wife, Judy Miller, is a lifelong artist who enjoys working in many different mediums. She will be displaying her work in ceramics as well as a number of paintings.
Ted Schnormeier, owner of Schnormeier Gardens, will be displaying his photography of the gardens along with paintings of historic homes in Mount Vernon by James J. Misencik.
