BELLVILLE — If you missed them at last year’s Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival or at the Memorial Theater in Mount Vernon in concert to benefit the annual Food for the Hungry campaign, the Chautauqua Beatles will be performing at the Bellville Opera House, 142 Park Place, on Friday.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and show will start promptly at 7 p.m.

Consisting of Adam Taylor (Eric Clapton), Bill Miller (Ringo Starr), Desmond Wall (George Harrison), Jim Stoner (John Lennon) and Mike Petee (Paul McCartney), the quintet will play a wide variety of the Beatles music live and present the Fab Four in first person portrayals in the Chautauqua format.

“We performed as the Chautauqua Beatles as they would be been if they had reformed in the late 1970s before John’s death,” explained Mike Petee. “We found that people enjoyed the concept so much at the DEF and the Memorial Theater concert, where we drew over 600 people, that we felt it shouldn’t end there. We all love the Beatles, their music and influence and we try our hardest to recreate the sense of the spirit of their time in our presentation. We now have over 40 songs we can choose from and will display many of them at the Opera House in Bellville.”

The Chautauqua Beatles will be performing at Put-In-Bay in July as well as other venues this year with Bellville being one of the closest to this area. For more information call 740-392-3018.
