GAMBIER — Join the students and instructors of the Summer Youth Mime Seminar on Friday, at 7:30 p.m. at Bolton Theater for their performance of the family classic “Aladdin,” along with a variety of individual vignettes and small group skits. The seminar draws from many physical theatre traditions including clown, mask, mime and puppetry.
In its ninth year as a summer seminar at Kenyon College, this year’s program has expanded to include student exploration of vocal work. Broadening the program by including an ensemble vocal composition is designed to train students as actor/creators for ensemble work.
The Youth Seminar is a program of the School for Mime theatre, now in its 33rd year at Kenyon, and Right Brain Productions. Instructors include Stephen Chipps, Lorie Heald, Dan Griffiths and Danielle Conover.
