MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) invites the public to its educational forum to learn about the current state of laws, the science of high-volume, horizontal hydraulic fracturing (fracking) and how it affects the citizens and their community.
This forum will be held on Wednesday, June 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 200 N Main St., Mount Vernon. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.
Representatives from the OEC also will discuss air, land, and water quality concerns. Mohican Advocates’ John Mackley will also be on hand with a presentation about Mohican Park.
This forum is free and open to the public; OEC asks that those planning to attend RSVP to determine how many people to expect. RSVP to the OEC at (614) 487-7506 or OEC@theOEC.org.
Questions may be directed to Melanie Houston at Melanie@theOEC.org.
