MOUNT VERNON — Vino Where You Live will welcome three musicians for another night of acoustic wizardry.
2009 International Finger Style Guitar Champion Mark Sganga, Helen Avakian and Brian Henke will perform wizardly talents in Central Ohio's premiere location for acoustic music. This will be the only performance featuring all three of these musicians.
Sganga has played command performances in India with violin virtuoso L. Subramaniam, he's toured the United States and Europe with Verve Recording artist Pete Belasco, appeared on recordings with Herbie Hancock and Maynard Ferguson, and performed in New York with the Klezmatics.
Whether playing his intricate solo arrangements, his Brazilian tinged trio tunes or telling outrageous musician stories, Sganga’s shows are an “acoustic escape.”
Helen Avakian, singer, songwriter guitarist, also performs. Her musicianship coupled with her down-to-earth stage manner has endeared her to an ever-increasing audience.
Brian Henke composes and performs his music, drawing his inspiration from the world around him. An avid hiker, he often brings his guitar along to create a spontaneous response to his outdoor settings.
